Localising the Sustainable Development Goals with Gen Z and Alpha : A Spatial Approach

 
 
The video talks about how preparations were done for the event. The Second United Nations World Geospatial Information Congress (UNWGIC) took place at the International Convention Centre in Hyderabad, India from 10-14th October, 2022. BVIEER was given the responsibility of organising the Special Side Event with the school children in association with Engagement Global and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India..  After doing teacher training programmes all over India, we finally selected 18 best schools who got a chance to showcase their projects. All the videos below, showcase the projects related to localising the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs) taken up by schools in rural and urban areas from different states of India.

The video shows projects of three schools who won the first three prizes at the UNWGIC . These schools and their projects were as follows:
1) First Rank - Government High School Medical Campus, Berhampur, Odisha - Project - SDG 5, 8: Chilka : the Provider

2) Second rank: Government Senior Secondary School, Leghan, Bhiwani, Haryana . Project: Finance for the farmers: Spatial gaps in the  extent of agricultural credit schemes availed

by farmers in a rural area in Haryana


3) Third Rank: Government Degree College, Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir
